I love Splinter too. I don't think they use him enough or give him enough credit. He's a great father, but the writers don't like to highlight that particular trait about him and I think it's a shame.
I agree we need more Splinter!
Okay, just had to run here and throw in a suggestion. You need to write a Mother's Day story using your OC Audrey and Splinter.

You shouldn't have a hesitation regarding your OC. I like her and know many other people do too. You write her so great, and it's not like the story is completely about her and her heroic efforts and I think it add's character to the turtle's and Splinter.

I wish I had the talent to write fanfiction, I always have so many ideas, but the only writing I'm good at is dry, technical, research that I do for school. The few stories that I have tried to write always come out choppy and unnatural.
